Bridal Makeup Price in 2026: A Package Price List by Type, Tier and City
In 2026, bridal makeup for the wedding day costs about ₹10,000–₹20,000 with a newer artist, ₹20,000–₹45,000 with an experienced professional, and ₹45,000–₹1,00,000+ with a premium name. Airbrush adds roughly ₹5,000–₹15,000 over HD. A full package for mehndi, sangeet, wedding and reception usually lands between ₹50,000 and ₹1,20,000. City, products, technique and call time move the number.
"Bridal makeup price?" is the single most common message I get, usually with nothing else attached. It is a fair question, and most artists dodge it with "DM for rates". So here is the full price list I would want if I were planning my own wedding: every line item, every tier, and the reasons two quotes for "the same" bridal makeup can be ₹30,000 apart. These are the ranges I see across North India in 2026, not a rate card for any one artist. Always get your own quote in writing.
Bridal makeup price list at a glance
This is what each service typically costs with an experienced artist in 2026. Newer artists sit below these ranges, premium studios above.
| Service | Typical 2026 price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Traditional bridal makeup | ₹15,000 – ₹30,000 | Hand-applied with brushes and sponges; excellent in skilled hands |
| HD bridal makeup | ₹20,000 – ₹40,000 | Now the default for most experienced artists; built for cameras |
| Airbrush bridal makeup | ₹30,000 – ₹55,000 | Fewer artists offer it; lighter feel, strong sweat resistance |
| Engagement / roka look | ₹8,000 – ₹20,000 | Soft glam; often discounted inside a wedding package |
| Mehndi or haldi look | ₹8,000 – ₹15,000 | Lighter, dewy, built to survive daytime heat |
| Sangeet / cocktail look | ₹12,000 – ₹25,000 | Full glam, dance-proof, stage lighting |
| Reception look | ₹12,000 – ₹30,000 | Second statement look; more if on the same day as the wedding |
| Trial (if not included) | ₹3,000 – ₹5,000 | Often adjusted against the booking |
| Family / bridesmaid makeup | ₹3,000 – ₹8,000 per face | Usually by an assistant; hair may be extra |
| Separate hairstylist | ₹3,000 – ₹8,000 per look | Only when the artist does not style hair herself |
| Dupatta setting / saree draping | ₹1,000 – ₹3,000 | Frequently bundled at the experienced tier |

Price by artist tier: what the extra money buys
The biggest driver of bridal makeup price is not the technique. It is the artist, and specifically how much of their time and kit goes into your face.
- Newer artists (₹10,000 – ₹20,000). Usually application only, often no trial, mid-range products, and several brides on the same muhurat. Fine for a small function; risky for the wedding itself unless you have seen their work in person.
- Experienced professionals (₹20,000 – ₹45,000). HD or traditional finish, a trial in most cases, better long-wear products, and one or two brides a day. This is where most brides book, and where quality varies the most.
- Premium and signature artists (₹45,000 – ₹1,00,000+). Consultation, skin prep, trial, luxury products, a touch-up kit, and one bride a day. The top of this range is driven as much by name and demand as by the makeup itself.
Two artists quoting ₹30,000 can give you very different days. The question that separates them is simple: how many brides will you do on my date? I explain the rest of the cost structure in why bridal makeup costs what it does.
Bridal makeup package prices: 1 function to the full wedding week
Most brides do not book one look. Here is how packages typically add up with one experienced artist:
| Package | Typical functions | Experienced-tier total |
|---|---|---|
| Wedding day only | Pheras or Anand Karaj | ₹20,000 – ₹45,000 |
| Wedding + reception | Two looks, often on the same day | ₹35,000 – ₹70,000 |
| Wedding + 2 events | Sangeet, wedding, reception | ₹45,000 – ₹95,000 |
| Full wedding week | Engagement, mehndi, sangeet, wedding, reception | ₹60,000 – ₹1,20,000+ |
Bundling three or more functions with the same artist usually brings the total 10–15% below the sum of the individual looks. The less obvious benefit is consistency: by the wedding morning your artist already knows how your skin behaves after two late nights. My per-function cost breakdown goes deeper into each look.
How bridal makeup prices change by city
Where you marry changes the market rate more than most brides expect. For an experienced artist, wedding day only:
- Karnal, Kurukshetra and smaller Haryana cities: roughly ₹15,000 – ₹30,000. See Karnal prices.
- Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula and Zirakpur: roughly ₹20,000 – ₹35,000, with premium artists at ₹35,000 – ₹50,000+. See Chandigarh prices.
- Noida and Greater Noida: roughly ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 for experienced professionals. See Noida prices.
- Delhi and Gurgaon: roughly ₹30,000 – ₹50,000 for established artists, with premium names at ₹50,000 – ₹1,00,000+. See Delhi NCR prices.
The gap is mostly overheads and demand, not skill. A good artist in Chandigarh and a good artist in South Delhi use the same products; one pays far more in studio rent and has far more brides chasing the same dates.
Extras that change the final bill
When a "packages list with price" looks cheap, it is usually because one of these sits outside it:
- Early-morning call time. A 4 or 5 a.m. start can add ₹2,000 – ₹5,000 with some artists.
- Travel and stay. Venues outside the artist's city, or a destination wedding, add conveyance and often a hotel night.
- Peak-date premium. On the most in-demand winter muhurats, some artists add 10–20% or simply stop discounting.
- Hair, draping, extensions, jewellery setting. Bundled by some artists, itemised by others.
- GST. A GST-registered artist adds 18% unless the quote says inclusive. A ₹30,000 quote becomes ₹35,400.
- Advance terms. 30–50% upfront is normal and usually non-refundable. Read the date-change and cancellation line before you pay.
The fix is to ask every artist for the same thing: an itemised quote listing each function, each extra, and GST status. Then compare totals, not headline numbers. My guide to what a bridal package should include has the full checklist.
Is cheaper bridal makeup ever the right call?
Sometimes, yes. A small registry ceremony, a daytime family function or a tight overall budget can all be well served by a capable newer artist. Where saving money backfires is the wedding day itself: twelve or more hours of wear, flash photography, tears, heat, a dupatta pinned on and off. That is when product quality and the artist's time with you show up in every photograph.
If budget is the constraint, my honest suggestion is to spend on the wedding-day look and save on the smaller functions, rather than the other way round. Before you pay any advance, run through these bridal makeup artist red flags.
Where my pricing sits
My bridal work starts at ₹25,000 for the wedding day. That includes a consultation, a personalised pre-wedding skincare routine, a 2–3 hour trial, wedding-day application by me personally with MAC, Charlotte Tilbury and Bobbi Brown, and a custom touch-up kit. Multi-function packages are quoted per wedding because no two function calendars are the same. I take only 2–3 weddings a month and work across Chandigarh Tricity and Delhi NCR, with no travel charge inside either.
Send me your dates, functions and venue on WhatsApp and I will reply with an itemised quote, GST status included.
Frequently asked questions
How much does bridal makeup cost in 2026?
In 2026, bridal makeup in North India costs roughly ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 with a newer artist, ₹20,000 to ₹45,000 with an experienced professional, and ₹45,000 to ₹1,00,000+ with a premium or celebrity name, for the wedding day alone. Smaller cities such as Karnal sit at the lower end; Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida sit at the upper end.
What is the price difference between HD and airbrush bridal makeup?
Airbrush bridal makeup usually costs ₹5,000 to ₹15,000 more than HD with the same artist, because fewer artists offer it and the equipment and products cost more. HD typically runs ₹20,000 to ₹40,000 for the wedding day with an experienced artist; airbrush typically runs ₹30,000 to ₹55,000.
How much does a full bridal makeup package cost for all functions?
A package covering mehndi, sangeet, wedding and reception with one experienced artist typically costs ₹50,000 to ₹1,20,000 in 2026. Booking three or more functions with the same artist usually brings the total 10 to 15 percent below the sum of the individual looks.
Is the bridal makeup trial charged separately?
It depends on the artist. Many experienced artists include one trial in the bridal package; others charge ₹3,000 to ₹5,000 and adjust it against the booking if you go ahead. Ask before you book, because a trial-included quote and a trial-extra quote are not directly comparable.
How much does makeup cost for the bride's mother, sisters and bridesmaids?
Family and bridesmaid makeup is usually priced per face at about ₹3,000 to ₹8,000 with the bride's artist or their assistant, depending on the city and whether hair is included. For more than four or five faces on the wedding morning, plan for a second artist so the bride is not rushed. More in my family and bridesmaid makeup guide.
